Judging criterion: Requirement: Round 4: Grand Battle (2 teams) The 2 teams in this round will take turns to dance 4-eights at a time until each has danced 12-eights, to compete for the title of the Champions of Hip Hop Nite ’08. Songs used during battle will be chosen by the Organizer. Judging criterion: Requirement: Those who have not gotten your tickets, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? After much delibration, the organisers have decided to cancel Round 1 of the Competition i.e. First Showcase round. Contestants will start off with Round 2, Second Showcase round, in which they take turns on stage to display their own choreography to their own song selection. Rounds 3, 4 and 5 (Choreography and Battles) will remain as stated. Judging criteria and requirements will stay the same as well. =)
COMPETITION FORMAT (as of 3rd Feb 08):
A total of 16 teams will compete in Round 1. Teams will take the stage one at a time and perform a self-choreography of no more than 1 min 30 sec to a song of their choice. The top 8 teams will proceed to Round 2.
Judging criterion:
1) Musicality 50%
2) Technique 20%
3) Presentation 20%
4) Costumes 10%
Requirements:
1) Prepare choreography to the song of their choice.
1) Adhere to the Dance track requirements as stated in the Rules and Regulations.
Round 2: Choreography (8 teams)
Contestants will be taught 2 to 3-eights of choreography on the spot. Contestants will then perform the choreography thrice – with the instructor, individually and with the other contestants. Top 4 teams with the highest score accumulated from Rounds 1&2 will enter Round 3.

1) Technique 25%
2) Presentation 25%
3) Learning Ability 25%
4) Musicality 25%

Round 3: Preliminary Battle (4 teams)
The 4 teams competing in this round will be separated into 2 groups by the judges, where the 2 teams in each group will battle against each other to impress the judges for a place in the Final Round. During the battle, teams will take turns to dance 4-eights at a time until each has danced 12-eights; songs used during battle will be chosen by the Organizer. Only 2 teams, i.e. the winner of each group in this round, will make it to the Grand Battle.
